+/- Locum Special Needs Teacher

Job description:

  • Able to commit on Saturdays on a regular basis for execution of relevent programmes
  • Develop and execute lesson plans for both individual and small group physical classes in accordance with organisation's service delivery standards
  • Plan and execute tailored group programmes for children with special and learning needs
  • Adapt intervention strategies and developmentally appropriate teaching materials and resources to cater to children of varied learning abilities, including those in primary school levels, to improve learning outcomes beyond academic goals.
  • Conduct screening and assessments to identify needs, track and evaluate learning progress of clients, and develop appropriate strategies to optimise development potential of the clients.
  • Partner with caregivers and relevant stakeholders to enhance learning experiences, support learning progress and achieve personalised goal
  • Document, maintain and report data and progress in client management system
  • Provide administrative, logistical and other necessary support for effective implementation of relevant programmes and services
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisor(s)

Candidates should possess:

  • Minimum a Diploma in Early Childhood Education / Special Education or related educational fields. A Bachelor's Degree / Master's degree in Teaching will be added advantage.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience in a special education setting
  • Experience working with children aged 3 to 12 years old with special needs and a wide range of multiple disabilities
  • Passionate about working with childrena and their families
  • Creative and innovative in engagement of children with diverse profiles and needs
  • Excellent communication skills with good command of verbal and written English
  • Able to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team

+/- Locum Teacher

Job description:

  • Teach assigned group classes on weekends including covering for other teachers (hours ranging from 1.5 to 4.5 hours per day)
  • Co-create and develop customised content according to needs of students with diverse profiles and needs
  • Deliver tailored lessons according to the MOE syllabus and curriculum
  • Encourage students and create a safe and positive environment for learning
  • Track attendance, progress and development of students
  • Maintain communication with parents on lessons, student conduct and progress regularly

Candidates should possess:

  • Passion to teach children including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Minimally 2 years' experience teaching (in MOE schools or private tuition centres included), experience working with children with SEN preferred
  • Degree in any discipline - those with Postgraduate Diploma in Education or other relevant qualifications will have an added advantage
  • Excellent communication skills with good command of verbal and written English
  • Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
