The theme for this year’s party was “Sports Playtime”, and it was indeed a fun-filled day of sporty fun for the more than 400 participants at Woodlands Stadium. The early morning shower did not dampen the mood of the beneficiaries, families and volunteers, as they pitted their wits and brawn earnestly in a series of sport telematches. The spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie were beautifully displayed as families and friends helped each other to complete the challenges.
The atmosphere in the stadium was heightened by zesty dance and aerobics performances on stage, and a carnival where the children helped themselves to snacks such as candy floss and posed gleefully with their freshly painted faces at the Polaroid photo booth. 47 children and youth were presented with their Education Awards in recognition of their performances in school despite their medical conditions.
