Camp Rainbow (2014)

Superheroes Assemble!

This was the theme that was aptly chosen for this year’s camp, riding the trend of superheroes movies. More importantly, the theme served as a reminder to all beneficiaries that they too can have superhero qualities and inspire others.

The plethora of activities throughout the 3-day camp enabled the more than 200 participants to hone their leadership and social skills, build confidence and character and develop strong camaraderie with each other. The campers persevered to overcome their medical conditions and complete mental and physical challenges at activities such as Sports Telematch, Mission Possible (obstacle course) and Robotics Workshop. The beneficiaries were equally thrilled during their learning and experiential journey to SEA Aquarium and 4D

AdventureLand in Sentosa. Group discussions and reflection session were conducted each night to reinforce the values of the day’s activities and for the beneficiaries to share their experiences. A gallery exhibition titled Project Supernormal was also created to showcase various ex-befrienders and their inspirations in life despite the struggles with their medical conditions.

All the excitement at the camp converged at Carnival Night, when the beneficiaries let their hair down and enjoyed a night of fun at game booths, bouncy castles and fancy photo booth, just to name a few. Overall, the smiles and laughter from the beneficiaries were heart-warming proof of a fulfilling and fruitful experience at Camp Rainbow.
